Project Description

Oak Park Phase II is a five-storey medical office / retail building located in Oakville, Ontario. Maracon Construction acted as construction manager on this venture and was involved during the early stages in order to facilitate the design process and offer practical advice to the project team. The project was completed from the ground up, made of precast concrete and structural steel with a brick and glass façade. The project successfully achieved LEED Certification and Maracon ensured that environmentally conscious construction practices were in place from start to finish. Upon completion of the base building, Maracon has undertaken various tenant fit-ups, creating a multi-faceted destination servicing the medical needs of the Oakville community.

Pickering Volkswagen

Project Description

he Pickering Volkswagen dealership was looking to expand their existing facility while in turn provide their business a brand refresh in line with the new Volkswagen Canada image program. Maracon Construction brought this image to life under a design-built contract in collaboration with RADEFF Architect Ltd. A showroom addition was constructed to provide a larger, more practical and modern space to showcase new automobiles. The addition to the dealership included a storefront facelift, made of structural steel, aluminum composite panels and glazing, in line with the updated VW brand. Maracon also provided interior renovations to the existing showroom and vehicle service area; all while the dealership remained fully operational and open for business.

Brock University Market Hall

Project Description

Maracon’s project at Brock University involved the construction of a new dining and event space. Enclosing an existing courtyard and renovating the adjacent cafeteria and dining hall created the newly purposed space. The result: a beautiful ‘marketplace’ style cafeteria offering a variety of food stations and opening to a multipurpose amenity space for both staff and students to enjoy. The new addition provided many opportunities for learning and gathering, while providing the university with a multi-use event facility.
